I would soften the cream cheese and mix the soup and shredded cheese together, then add the chicken and mix, then everything else and mix the rest before placing in the oven. . . . This would make a nice chicken pot pie with a crust on the bottom and on the top.

This looks horrible and, no, my family would wonder if there was something terribly wrong with me if I made this and even remotely suggested that they eat it.

I agree with everyone else here about mixing everything together first, then pour it into a pan and bake it. I was surprised she didnt add at least a little bit of milk or sour cream with that can if soup. Maybe there's enough moisture from the frozen veggies to dilute the soup she added. I also think that shredded parmesan cheese would taste good in the mixture. It does look yummy and easy to make.

Mix it all together, add a small amount of chicken broth, top with more cheese and bake.

you need a much MUCH bigger bowl. MIX, then dump into your baking pan. Brushing your stirring tool across the top of the pre-mixed pan was just silly. I make similar stuff to this although I mix up the meat. ANY shredded meat works. Pork, beef, chicken..whatever. Add a layer of cheese on top and you have a nice crust on top after baking.

It looks like a mess. Why not just mix it all together first, then bake . chicken is already cooked. The rest should only take 45 minutes in a precooked oven.
