it does work it just takes a lot more time to shake. I would also add a couple more marbles. I used to do this in a baggy, where you shook it, with a lot less cream in my classroom with students . we shook for about 10 -20+ mins and ate the butter on toast. you can add a little salt if you like. Share it until you get butter. when it's getting thick shake until it is thicker. have fun; put on some music!

my son's 2nd grade class did this. 30 yrs ago. They used the butter for their Thanksgiving Feast. It did work. I don't have the patience to shake that thing for 15 min though. 👍
