I worked at a resort and one of the owners sent one of his friends to check in with his credit card in file..I asked for ID for the credit card and of course he didn't have it and said do you know -----, I said yes but I can't check you in with his card.. he proceeded to call the owner and I told him the same thing.. he respected my stance and had to come all the way to the property and present the card, lol!!! Low and behold I didn't get fired 😆

I don't see anything wrong with keeping honest people honest. I once received a counterfeit $20 bill from an in uniform, on duty police officer! His absolute shock told me that he had no idea it was fake either! It was a rather awkward for the both of us. I had to notify my store manager and he had to call in his supervisor. It goes to show that you never can tell if you have a fake bill in your possession until it's checked! So I say kudos to that employee!👍
