I’ve been a carpenter for 30 years. I put new wood on trailers before but never ever did it with the wheel. That is the stupidest way to do anything.

zip cut the angle iron off, place wood, weld on weldable hinges, place back angle, weld only the corners, now next time you replace wood you only need to zip cut the corner ends and it opens like a door,. ,,,,....................now time to crack open some beers, sit down on back of trailer and DONE.

well first place the wood is new I don't get it and ya I can see why nobody knows about it
All you have to do is take off the brace or plate that will be holding the boards in place.
That second to the end being the most likely one to make it difficult for fitment in the works though for a short term to include a prying in the board..!.
a wooden block and a jack works just fine you don't have to worry about the thing bouncing in your face.

That's not that dangerous and a very good trick!
It works. I replaced just 4 of the boards that were bad. I put a short piece of a 2x4 instead of a car wheel. I'll replace the others when they go bad.
