ok, let's talk logistics for a second. in order for tens of thousands of those $120 Christmas trees to get to the United States from China by ship takes months, not to mention the time for them to clear. now for them to be sold in the United States by christmas, the company that sold them had to have the packaging printed well in advance. so they say $120, but after the tariffs hit, the price changed, so they had to cover the printed price. No one is scamming you. it's the byproduct of changes in international commerce

In California, if the price is written on the box, all you have to do is remove that sticker and take it up and then demand that price because it's a crime for them to not charge that price. California Business and Professions Code § 12024.2
