Nope my husband has his own accounts and I have mine. We sit down at the end of the month and add up the bills; rent, utilities, car insurance, groceries and divide the total by two. He then transfers his share into my account and I pay the bills. We do it this way because he tends to forget making payments. He has to pay his car note himself and since I save and pay in full when I get a "new" used car I don't have that expense. I don't drive his vehicle or even ride in it, as it's full of trash lol. We also pay for our own maintenance on our cars. We have done this for nearly 37 years now and it works for us. We don't have issues over money this way. As for vacations I normally pay the majority of the expenses as my income is a bit higher, and I tend to save for them. I was brought up being told if you can't buy it outright then you can't afford it. Thank you Gram!

Unfortunately in my past, I was with a married man for 3 1/2 years without knowledge that he was married the whole time.
