Honestly, I'm 55 years old and I despise that shit too, Hell no ain't staying another hour. I work my agreed hours. You don't know what his plans were. People have a fuckin life outside work. We all know the true feelings employers feel about their employees
yes that's a big problem with people these days. I work in a lumber mill for over twenty years. If it's not a family emergency, I have no problem staying over to get the job done. This generation does not like to do this its apparent.

as a employer I think there's more to this and regardless of time if he agreed to work till 2 that extra hour is definitely gonna cost more than an hour pay and your wrong if you even ask in that regard say your paying 20 or whatever atleast double say hey I will give you 40 if you put in another hour so hard to tell who's wrong here need whole scenario note im a contractor and employer over 20 years best advise is always remember its always a deal thats ultimately if you do this i will do that a good boss knows how to deal.....
