These were NOT dangerous toys!!! These were released during the days when Natural Selection was on life support, but not extinct. Anyone killed by Jarts was just a slow gazelle. Lions only hunt the weak. THAT'S why Gen ❌️ is strong! Because the universe was still able to thin the herd. Don't believe me? look up what year they started putting warning labels on hair dryers not to use them in showers.

Anyone remember the lawn darts? We also never had helmets or pads, seatbelts etc. We didn’t need warnings on the detergent labels because we knew that it was not food for crying out loud! People are getting dumber. If we don’t get smarter we will end up like Idiocracy (movie)

I loved my creepy crawlers machine. I was so happy when I got up for Christmas, and I was so sad when it burned out years later. I even replaced the light bulb a few times but heated it up.

Gen❌ '71 here, I made it and had a lot of that stuff. And that helped weed out the stupid people. If you were tough and smart, you were going to make it. Kids these days have Gen❌ syndrome. Just because you did or had a few of these things. It does not make you a Gen❌. No other generation could handle or make it through the shit we had to go through mentally and physically 👍

The only reason these toys were banned is because of stupid kids and parents that didn’t watch what their kids were doing. I grew up playing with all of these toys and I never had a single accident because I’m not stupid.

It’s toys like this that made my generation tougher kids, and therefore became tougher adults when they grew up. Today’s kids just stare at a screen all day and the first time they go outside and trip over a stick they run crying to their mommies. Sometimes an eye injury or a cracked tooth as a kid can be a positive thing.

the things gen X did for fun

avator

that's because they were given to the wrong kids that were never taught anything on how to play safely now growing up we had all those toys and nobody in our family or our neighborhood ever got hurt with those things so it was only for the kids that were never taught anything by their parents

bro I had a pair of lackers and they were not dangerous you can either hold one ball on one end and spin it flying in the air and catch it and then do cool tricks even catching the string in between the balls with your hand midair and then making them clack and then bounce up and hit each other again and then spin them around and catch them it was fun the ones I had were plastic balls on the end so it wasn't dangerous at all I don't know what fucking clackers were breaking wrists back in the day but I didn't have any issues and this was like I want to say 2001-2002

i got one of those creepy crawler things as a gift, never was allowed to play with it... not because of it's danger, but because the adults who were in charge of me during the time i was supposed to be developing into a productive member of society completely and utterly failed me...😅 never got to play with it...😭

GenX our toys didn't just entertain, they were designed to maim. Pull the lawn dart out of your head, laugh then go for a ride on a 2° from molten metal wheel designed to fling you across the playground, quick trip to the nurse for some mercurochrome drizzled into the hole left from the Jart then onto the school bus to go home for a lovely drink from the garden hose and playing outside until the streetlights came on..
