LOVE ❤️ HER OUTFIT!!! I WISH THEYD BRING IT BACK IN STYLE IN LIEU OF THE HOOCHY UNDERWEAR THEY WEAR NOW!!!
I have always wondered why Fred Astaire got most of the credit for dancing? He's wonderful but, Ginger did the same dance but backwards and in high heels?
A lost art. I wonder if kids have any idea what tap dancing even is
something about the old movies. we're just super classy the way they dressed. the way they spoke, they way they treated each other
I believe that’s Rita Hayworth. 💕
I grew up watching old flicks with my mom. Dialing for dollars. They showed all the old movies, dancing, and singing with all the old great ones, with total, total RESPECT🙏
Tap is one of the hardest to get right in my experience as a kid I took ballet, tap and baton. Tap is not easy but these two make it look effortless but brutal precision is required.
Fred Astaire made it look so easy.. He was great 👍
Both of them are class acts !💕
Ohhh that’s great dancing!!👍🏼👍🏼🥰
That is NOT Ginger Rodgers! It’s Rita Hayworth who my father disliked intensely ! Ginger was much more talented
He was a real perfectionist and made his partners go on over and over until he was satisfied. 🤔
The most famous Fred and Ginger...can watch them all day
The woman is not Ginger Rogers she is Rita Hayworth star of movie Glinda 1945
Fred and Rita go 🌸
Theee best dance video is with Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell "Broadway Melody of 1940" It's "considered one of the greatest musical numbers in movie history" (I knew it! loved it from a teenager) got that from Google. Eleanor Powell blows GR away!!
added note: that's Rita Hayworth in this clip.
Just fabulous!!!
That’s dancing
This is not Fred and Ginger! Fred and Rita!
her more so she could match every step and she did it in heels that woman is absolutely spectacular
Fred Astaire was quoted from an interview as saying "Rita Hayward was his favorite dance partner above all others."👍
I still watch movies with him playing. I have always loved him!!!
I’d read where Fred Astaire said Rita Hayworth was his favorite dancer. He said she could remember a really complicated dance routine in just one day.
In heels no less 🌸🌸🌸
really AMAZING
Fred Estair and Rita Hayworth in You'll Never Get Rich (1941) and You Were Never Lovelier (1942). Rita once said that Fred Was the Best dancer that ever was but he was also a task master and perfectionist that drove everyone crazy. OCD wasn't a thing back then but I wouldn't be surprised if Fred had a little of that going on. He was a genuine person and a genius which is what made him so good at his craft. 👍🙏👍🙏👍🙏
If you watch a Fred Astair movie notice that when he is dancing he is completely in frame. He never wanted close ups when he danced. He said it takes away from the dance itself.
Growing up I loveed watching Fred Astair movies. I love Tap dancing one of my favorites was Gregory Hines.💖
they were awesome dancers 💕
Love Fred
I said Hayward instead of Hayworth. Sorry
It must have been in some documentary, but it was a Fred Astaire dance routine, requiring a costume change, and both shown side by side. Fred Astaire did the routine EXACTLY step by step without any deviation - no matter how minor. Just amazing to watch.💕💕💕
Good old tap
Classy & talented without grinding, hip thrusting or groin grabbing!💃🏻🕺🏻
😂😂I♥️♥️♥️♥️ this
Check out the Nicholas brothers. The best tap dancers.
Amazingly talented!! WOW!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Talented dancers!!!🥰
love it...
Personally, Fred Astaire was a man who ‘moved’ his body and danced his heart out in his day! Not too many men did that then or now!🥰
That’s right Lee Ann you can quote Ann Richard’s anytime you want too 👍🏼
I read that one of the great male dancers advised Michael Jackson to wear white socks while dancing so his footwork wouldn't be overlooked . Michael Jackson was born in 1957 or '58, so that is possible.
We need to see more of dancing like this. So classie and classic. Love watching these two in the old classic movies.
Rita Hayworth and Fred Astaire.. most people did not realize that actors in early Hollywood also had to have singing or dance skills to be noticed.
1930s 🤔🤔
I loved the old musicals!! Fred and Ginger, Bing Crosby, Vera Ellen, Danny Kaye, Rita Hayworth, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, Ava Gardener, Clark Gable, Gene Kelley, etc....
So so Great!!!!!!
I heard he would practice, practice and practice for abut 4-5 a day!
🥰👍
Rita Hayworth.... they sure tried to erase her LATINess...#RIP TO BOTH!!
she was a good lookin woman fosure
charming
that's not Ginger Roger's it's Rita Hayworth!! She of the Shawshank Redemption.
Rita Hayworth & Fred Astaire💕
