Easy!! You should only be measuring to the bottom of the can when it's uprught on top of the box. The height of the can was not measured when the can was standing upright on the ground.

The first measurement the tape measure is higher off the ground bc the can is standing up and it measures to the can laying on it’s side that makes it closer then when the can is lower to the ground and it has to measure higher bc the can is standing up

and is that you lower the bottom measurement by laying the can down and raise the top measurement by standing the can up and it creates a distance of farther than the first it's an illusion did it looks the same

You are measuring from two different points! This not only changed the starting point a couple of positive inches by laying can flat, it changes your end point by another couple of positive inches by standing it up!

when the bottom can is layed down you measured from the left end of bottom can which is lower then the right side

avator
Dave Lewis
Holladay, TN · 2 months ago

In the second measurement you made the bottom can lower and the top one higher so you added distance at both ends.

the reason it is different is when then can on the ground is in the upright position you have a shorter distance to the top can because you have raised the lower measuring point up into the wall of the tool box, when the can on the ground is laying down you are measuring from what looks like below the bottom of the tool box thus increasing the distance.

first measurement one can was laying on its side the other kid was standing straight up second measurement both cans are scanning screwed up there's your measurement difference

avator

the first measurement includes the horizontal can and excludes the vertical can. the second measurement excludes the horizontal can and includes the vertical one. the difference will be double the difference between horizontal and vertical cans... you add the difference once by switching the exclusion at the bottom from vertical to horizontal, and add it a second time by increasing the inclusion at the top from horizontal to vertical.... clear as mud?

first of all, if you going to measure something and measure it from the bottom to the top, not the middle of the top can and then flip the can down at the bottom and measure it from the top of it laying down to the top of the can. that's now at the top standing up smart but I see what you did

no because ur going off the bottom 1. it was closer to the ground the second time u measured so it would be more

avator

you're making the bottom can lower and the top can higher so of course it's going to be hot more inches

your tape end does not have the same starting spot on both measurements. Therefore different measurements...easy peasy...a hundred bucks please..

well seeing as how it's an aluminum can and is filled with CO2 gas mixed with Coke syrup and water when slightly Disturbed creates pressure causing the can to swell which is why you don't shake it up thought this was kind of common knowledge that and they're cut by machines that are not always precise which can also contribute to this it's a joke right

you need to measure from the bottom of the lower standing can "that guys a scientist" should have a government code in weights and measures to con the crap out of his constituents

the reason for the height change is because on the first measurement you have the can on the floor is standing and the one on the top is laying down and on the second measurement change because by laying the the can on the floor increase the height and by standing the can on the top increase even more l,o,l

your taking two parallel lines and creating more space between them when you flip them. Additionally, you get the reverse effect if you start off with the cans the other way as you are closing the gap

you didn't measure all the way to the ground compared to the first time you measure the hole sign of a can when it was laying outside you forgot to add that factor in

avator

Its all.in the surface measurements. By laying the lower can on its side you are bringing your measurements closer to the ground and by standing upnthe top can you are adding to the top.measurement increasing the distance both ways for the firat measurement

avator
Russ Hammonds

on the second measurement you're starting lower to the ground and higher to the top cuz when you flip the cans it puts a greater distance in between them

Measure only to the bottom of the top now turn it up side down, literally. There you go! You can’t measure the whole length of the top can when you only measured the from the top of the can when it was on the bottom

avator

On the second time measuring, you need to stop the measuring tape at the bottom of the can .because on the first measuring, you measured the entire can on top. SMH 🤦‍♂️

Measuring from can on the ground to the top of the chest, the can on top of the chest is irrelevant, it doesn't ever get measured.

easy the can on the bottom is the only thing that's changed in size so laying a can down is always shorter that one standing up

maybe because the box you're measuring it on is slanted and the ground is somewhat flat duh naw that's a good one

It’s different bc there’s a different starting point n he also measured to the top of the can instead of measuring n accounting for the can laying downs depth he’s just using simple shit to confuse them so they don’t think about it
