wow I guess its about stopping the vendor from re packaging to be sold again after it is deemed unsafe ...it is "supposed" to be last resort etc... I have never heard of this. it is kinda cray cray... Large volumes of food should be secured in covered containers and removed by a waste disposal company. My mother worked in Winn Dixie in West Palm Beach, Florida, and she said the meat department put bleach on their meats all the time to make them look fresher and then they dyed them red with red dye, only little bits of bleach, but they did put bleach on their meats.

She knows it’s unlawful or she wouldn’t have slide her way to throw it away as if she was doing something wrong . Hold on to the jug as the police sirens are passing, it’s lawful, continue on with your “job”. Also, if that was protocol I’m sure she would’ve measured and poured equal amounts. Logged the bleach bottle, and returned to a location door proper disposal after the proper paperwork for pouring it was properly analyzed and logged as well. This is not okay.
