I grew up in here and I swear to God if we would build marketplace downtown if you have a population, obviously it’s not gonna work in Crestview but if you live in a moderate size town, say Pensacola I believe you could have a thriving food market for 3 to 4 days out of the week with people doing what they know how to do forget what the chefs tell you that you need to buy get the same things they’ve been eaten for 1 million years but it’s really really good. I love fish cooked anyway but I’ve had fish and chips that’ll make you cry and I generally don’t like stuff like that but we need to have this in our economy. It brings people out and introduces us to one another and different cultures.
Gyros are the best. Onions tomatoes and cucumber sauce. Yummy.

They have a big meat spindle just like that at a Mediterranean falafel/shawarma place where my hubby and I eat...their food is delicious and it always smells so good both inside and outside...you can smell the fragrance of their food as soon as you drive into the parking lot...yummy 😋
That's not Greek or a gyros. This is the Turkish version called Doner kebab. This is beef, but they also have a chicken Doner. Not served with Tzatziki sauce like the Greek gyro. The sign at the beginning is clearly Turkish, not Greek. Probably the most common street food there.
Decades ago, 1970''s, there was a sandwich shop called Mike's Big Bite I believe) on Fletcher Ave & 30th St in Tampa. We made homemade Gyros several times a day. Was our biggest seller.
