Honestly I don't think this man deserves 50 years. Habitual murderers, and repeat killers of those innocent victims get far less time. The guy wasn't even in jail. So he's free to harm another child? Let Grandpa go free......... he's has time served as far as I am concerned.

He did what happen because of the love of his grandchild. You will never know what do do if it were child or grandchild to him it was right. The person abuse that child why wasn’t he arrested and punished?

I think a family member of murdered children should have the right to impose their own justice.

he did was right, and now I understand their has to be consequences to his actions, but I don't think he deserves that long at all, maybe half that...if that! people get less than that for cold hearted murder all the time so why so hard on him? and why wasn't the bad guy already behind bars in the first place? please don't make him sit in there that long for doing the right thing and protecting his grandson and all the other kids in that community. he stopped him before he could hurt another child! he's a hero not a criminal! hope he gets parole soon though

If you kill a child, any family member capable should get a chance at your ass. Period. He should have never been charged.

I'm going against the grain. He was wrong. My issue is first in reading the story, if the child was found dead, how did he know who did it before police did. if so, he should have called the police. Also, why wasn't the culprit already locked up. You can't take justice in your own hand. How are you Judge, Jury, and Prosecutor without consequences. I understand he thought with anger, wrong move

He did the right thing. Because had the police and so called justice system had done their job the other man would have been in jail or prison awaiting trial. I say his sentence should be suspended and he should be put on probation. 🙏🏾
