I am a convicted felon! I served my time, and I am now on parole for 15 years to life. I have complied with ALL of the state’s requirements and more. The guilt and shame follows me and taughts me every day. This is enough to keep me from causing any more harm to others. I just wish people could see my heart, my sorrow, and how much I have not only hurt someone else, but causing hurt to myself, because my mind was not in the right place at the time of the incident. Now I continue to pay for my stupidity. As I told a parole officer and his Sergeant, the only way I will go back to jail is if I kill somebody. And that is very highly unlikely!!

the trouble with today's society is that after serving your punishment of jail time probation and fines do not equal complete justification for the crime Annie is included in their background history which reflects their moral character as to whether they can be employed or not in certain occupations and in tight job markets a DUI can exclude you from a career changing opportunity and if the crime committed is serious enough a convict will be washing dishes the rest of his life
