Tuition is so high, why do they need billions of tax dollars?
These Ivy League universities have Billions of dollars in endowment, so why should they get ANY federal dollars.
In actuality, Americans aren't wondering why their tax dollar's are going to universities. We are more concerned with why our tax dollars are going to support the wealthiest amongst us but pulling the rug out from the very neediest to the youngest and to the oldest amongst us.
Why do they charge such ridiculously high tuition when we give them all that money?
So what's the Answer? Shall we STOP the funding? Well not just yes but HELL YES!
I love her answer but I did not like how nobody mentioned the huge endowments that these Ivy League universities and colleges have that they are not tapping into but instead demanding more money from the federal government, our tax dollars

We are not giving Billions of dollars to the universities. We are awarding research grants to teachers who take the money to fund very expensive labs. The faculty and students publish hundreds of scientific papers every year advancing human knowledge. This research is patented and generally opened to the public for use. Saving the US hundreds of billions more had the discovery been made and patented through private research. We would have to be monumental fools to end scientific and technological grants. The big schools get bigger amounts of funding because they have more staff than smaller universities applying for these grants.

Because they find cures for cancer, HIV/AIDS, found the vaccine for COVID, they dissect rocks and determine how our planet was formed, they map DNA to find mutations that could end Autism, Downs Syndrome, they helped find the cure for polio, syphilis, chlamydia, small pox. Should I go on? The machines, the computers all cost money

FREE THINKING, meaning that they encourage their students to think for themselves and outside the box of indoctrination. Why, in the world do you think, even for a moment, why DJT loves the uneducated, in his own words, which obviously there is a majority of who were led like sheep to the slaughter? He wants people who don't question his decisions, who refuse to look into a matter on their own, or who refuse to believe in anything other than what Trump and his administration say. And maybe he will be able to accommodate and say what's really going on and people that work hard for the money should not have to pay for those such places to keep ongoing, especially when hard tax paying people pay. These prestigious colleges ONLY accept students that are very bright. That means their graduation rate is always high. It doesn't necessarily mean they are a better option. It means their students learn easier than some students at other universities.
