that's so stupid.i mean if it came in a smaller size then it would be just like if you broke it in half. the size has nothing at all to do with taste. plus if you don't break it in half, then while it's cooking, half in the pot and half out, you have to cook it longer so you can wait for the half that's in the pot to start getting soft for the other half to slowly start falling into the pot. so technically you end up with half pasta getting cooked more that the other half and since breaking it in half helps to cook quicker and has NO effect on taste, it's just stupid to not break it in half.
