I don't blame the guy for not wanting leftovers. I can't stand the way they taste. The only ones I'll eat are pasta dishes -- and even some of them I throw out. My mother never served leftovers when I was growing up which is the reason they probably taste weird to me.

I had a family of six growing up. My husband's family was 11. We had a family of six as well, plus whoever was there at the time so I cooked large meals. We are down to three currently, but I can't seem to cook small enough so there's always leftovers. I split them up into single servings and put a couple in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. When I don't feel like cooking they can grab one and microwave or bake them. I use glass containers for storage.
