I'm waiting for my son aswell went in 60 days after turning 18 sentenced to 11.5 with 2.5 served in county full ride no good days at all supposed to get out June 27 can't wait to see him been since he was 15 that I laid eyes on him twin sister has 2 kids and is also waiting nervous and excited all at once ......godspeed for this guy 17 years is very long time if he is determined he will make it good for him biggest step always the hardest one
Yea, my son got out Oct. 24th, after being locked up. He is 18. The kicker? He spent the last 5years locked up, maybe had 60 days in total free.. and my baby just turned 18 in November.. 1st birthday free was last year cuz he got in trouble at 12 years of age… Covid hit, and schools took 4 weeks to get computers to them.. not blaming myself, maybe had I done things differently.. but it was me and a total of 6kids, please don’t come for me, I’m just sharing…

I did a total of 2 1/2 years between Texas and New York. Prison definitely changes you. I was inside Rikers Island for 8 months when NYC was destroyed by terrorists when bombing the twin towers on 9/11. By the grace of God, I've been free now for the past 25 years. I promised myself I would never spend another day behind those walls and to be a productive member of society. AMEN....🙏
