even if she was undercover taking an expired license isn't illegal. selling to a minor is illegal. she's of age. no crime committed. requesting identification is not a legal requirement.

He did the right thing. U never know when sting comes in. When I ask for an Id I always scan it. If it won’t scan or it says expired it’s a no go. A fake id won’t scan. Collage kids try this a lot. It don’t work with me.

I worked at a convenience store when I was a kid and one night I got a call and he told me that his dad was a cop and was going to send an underage kid in to try and buy. wasn't fifteen minutes later, here he came. I laughed and told him to get lost. about a hour later, the guy called back and asked me how it went....

It's company policy,and Alcohol law enforcement can finevthe store and take you to jail for selling to anyone underage but its the law to check your ID whether you look old enough or not

Worked 2 years graveyard at an Am/Pm. It was policy for us to ID for alcohol/cigs, regardless of how old they looked. Law states you must be over 21 and have a valid ID. Expired IDs are not valid. I once denied a sale to a guy who straight up looked like Santa Clause. He was big mad, but sorry, he don’t pay my child support and this job does

I spent some time in a convenience store....selling to someone that's obviously over 50, w/o id is not against the law....that's stupid
legally the second you ring it up the sale is valid. your supposed to ask before ringing it up, I know not alot of people do as the scan is prompted after but I had a cashier fined 40k one time for this I didn't get in trouble because while I was management she was older then me and had been at the company longer
