Simple: Stop having delivery. Go shopping yourself into a store.. This is why stores are closing cause people order on line all the time. 馃槅馃槅
I live in an apartment complex. If there is a package outside someone's door, I will always bring it inside to their door, ring their bell and wait. If they are not home I'll leave it at their door. But i'll never leave a package outside here.
They get away with it because there are no consequences when arrested.
None of the employees for these delivery companies ring the doorbell. It might help a little if we knew a package has arrived!! I suppose that鈥檚 too much to ask though!!
The exploding box is pretty simple to make. I made one - if I ever get packages stolen I鈥檒l be using it.

Porch Pirates won't stop until bad things began to happen to them -- not just exploding prank packages either -- I mean really bad consequences before they can leave the property with the stolen package. Unless the pirates are met with physical harm and pain, they won't stop. And for obvious reasons no one's wants to go to prison for taking that route.
I live in a cul de sac of 8 houses and we all know each other as well as their cars. Since I am retired as well as my man, we look out for new cars or people we do know.
We had lady and man in Alabama still 6 packages that had mace bombs in then they sued homeowner judge threw it out and ask police to arrest them for the theft on camera
how can anyone stop their car and go up to someone house that's not theirs and steal off their porch packages that's not theirs these people needs to be prosecuted for theft
It's mostly the DELIVERY DRIVERS FAULT I have a big sign on my front door KNOCK ON THE DOOR FOR ALL DELIVERIES AND STILL THEY DO NOT KNOCK TO ALERT ME OF THE DELIVERY

He walked up the path all the way to the top door steps to pick up somebody's packages like he lives there what boldness. But I also blame the home owners because you guys need to come out to your door and pick up your packages and learn how to track your packages and be there to pick them up quicker.

I think all thieves need to be incarcerated and made to work 12 hr days 7 days a week hard labor, and get rid of the cable tv, weight equipment,any other luxuries, they should be too tired, and only want to eat and sleep! They should not want to go back to prison because it's inhumane, not go back because it's better than being outside the prison walls

The government needs to make even a 1$ item stolen, bring a porch pirate a minimum of 5 years in prison and more time for circumstances such as amounts, value, the unfunny remarks they leave the home owners! Maybe then it will curb this crime!
They are gonna have to make it a felony that will slow it down. I make sure I鈥檓 home or neighbor.
