My husband became totally paralyzed in 5/17. He asked me 1 day crying if I was going to leave him? I told him no & crying I said to him we didn't have time for a pity party!! I took him to different doctors & therapy. From being totally in bed he was able to get in a wheelchair!!! He then started taking little steps using a walker then a cane. Now he uses braces to both legs & is able to walk without assistive devices. He told me 1 day that every time I left for work he knew I was either @ the hospital or doing homecare. He also told me that he never knew how hard it was for me to take care of the sick & that he appreciated all I did for him. Now sometimes he helps me by volunteering & we visit the sick.
u don't give up on someone when they are injured. my hubs got hurt when I was 6 mths pregnant. was home in traction for 4 months. drove myself to hospital in labor. took care of baby n 2 yr old while taking care of him. when he got his big settlement after healing, he cleaned out the bank n moved 1200 miles away. I struggled but I have a great guy now that loves n takes care of me. I didn't give up, but I ended up with better. God closed the door on the jerk and opened the door on a good Christian man that I needed to raise my kids to be decent humans
Before you get married if you can’t say “In sickness and in health till death do you part!” Don’t even bother. Those are very sacred vows.
I almost died from Covid & was in a coma for two & a half months. I learned to walk & talk again. Still disabled & my wife wants to leave me. Thank you for sharing your story. Hopefully, things will turn around for me too!

I'm glad he says he is in a better place but I'm not fully convinced that he is walking again just because he pulled up to the edge of the swimming pool and did some arm dips and used his arms to launch him self into the pool, and before someone types that I'm a hater I too almost lost my ability to walk do to a spinal cord injury called Adhesive Archnoditis it took me 7 months to get back walking and I still have issues because I lost my ability to bend down but that's minor because the Doctors said that I would never walk again.
