My friends 95 year-old grandmother once told me to make sure I took off the “chicken snot” when I was making scrambled eggs and now I can’t think of it as anything else and I cannot eat eggs unless I take it off first

I won't eat them either. There's 2 of them in eggs. I take a fork and teaspoon to get them out. It's the easiest way.

I raise chickens and this is what holds the yolk securely in place inside the egg while the chick is developing This is not the embryo that tiny round white spot on the yolk is the embryo. Most eggs sold at grocery stores will not have the tiny white spot because the hens were never with a rooster to have the eggs fertilized.

I started taking them out whenever I bake anything. I hate that eggy taste some baked goods have and ever since I started doing it, they never have that taste

No, it doesn’t mean it’s fresh. It means it’s been fertilized.
