She is talking about the Central Park Five. The young men were falsely accused of gang rape of a woman who lied. Trump was just one of the New York citizens who voiced their opinion that the boys were guilty. He, and so many people believed the “information” based upon the news narrative. The boys were eventually cleared but they did have to endure a lot. Trump had nothing to do with it, besides his opinion on the topic. I am old enough to remember this from the news.

as a private citizen in NYC Trump took out a full page ad in the paper to try and demonize the Central Park 5, who were ALL proven innocent. he had zero evidence other than his opinion of what he saw on TV (5 African American boys in cuffs) & used his money to try & sway the populace, why else take out a HUGE ad?? She is referring to the "Central Park Five". Five young black men that were accused of raping and murdering a central park jogger brutally. Her facts are skewed though. The NYC prosecutors office filed those charges after a botched investigation. Trump did say that they should fry at the time, he was going on just the information that the MSM pushed to the public though.

All Trump did was put out a full page ad about violent crime in NY and how it should be dealt with harshly. The ad was not just about the Central Park 5, but ALL violent criminals. The vast majority of New Yorkers agreed. Rewriting history to fit an ideological narrative of today is disingenuous.

Just made a general statement about the rising crime in New York. Even if he was talking about them, there was a confession. They confessed. So, pretending it was some racial hatred that was responsible is just wildly assumptive.
