Ok so I can walk just fine, I can't walk long distances or up and down stairs. I am not on disability. I do have to ride the stupid electric cart at the store but I hate it. My heart, my back and my knees don't like me and I was just diagnosed with stage 4 Cirrhosis of the liver and I don't even drink. You cannot tell ANY of these things just by looking at me. So please have some compassion and empathy for others. Rant over. πŸ’œβ˜ΊοΈ

It’s people like that who really pisses me off. I’m disabled and it floors me how people feel like they are entitled. I’d rather be able to walk and stand in line than being in this wheelchair. She can walk and run and she has the audacity to do this to us … argh!!

How do you know that she doesn’t have a breathing disorder or something where she can’t walk long distances? Sometimes I have to use a wheelchair or shopping cart wheel wheelchair and just because I can get in and out of it doesn’t mean that I’m not disabled.

she maynot be able to walk to and from the gate cause of her weight or because of other issues is why she gets a pusher. I am in the same situation I can't walk very far cause of my osteoporosis. so what is the big deal of this video.

The way she’s looking around seems like she stole that bag, and the wheelchair looks like a cover, like she’s pretending to be disabled. This video can honestly be a million different stories

She did not lock the wheels when she got up. The wheelchair could easily have moved during the sitting or standing actions causing injury

My husband was on a heart and kidney transplant list. When we parked in handicap people would look and judge. He probably could have done what she did but could not walk very far. He hated having to use handicap parking or being in a wheelchair at times. Vietnam Vet with Agent Orange and died before he got his transplant. Looking at him you would never know how he suffered. You should not judge unless you’ve walked in their shoes. Looks are sometimes deceiving.

I have done the same thing. With a knee injury, walking very fast through huge airports was painful and slow. I requested assistance and when the assistant stopped to use the restroom at the baggage claim, I saw my bag and quickly got up to retrieve it. What is the big deal?🌸How can you judge a situation before knowing anything about it?

Let’s not judge. I have a condition where I lost all of my colon and parts of my small Bowel. I look normal but have a permanent medi port for hydration and vitamins because I am at a constant dangerous low levels that can cause heart attack or other severe life threatening issue. I also have ileostomy. Sometimes when traveling i need a wheelchair. Trips wear me out very very fast. I start throwing up and quickly deteriorate into a life threatening situation within minutes. What little energy I have I conserve and use carefully. I can walk and even sprint if needed but I can turn bad very very quickly if I stand too long or start sweating. You never know what someone is dealing with by looks

I'm not going to lie to y'all but I would've probably done this. People think doing this are thought to be liars about disability. I have several disabling conditions, 2 are Intractable Migrainous WITHOUT Aura & Meneire's- 2 INVISIBLE conditions. If you check those you'll see wheelchairs are safety precautions. Yet, sometimes things SEEM safe in which I can drive, bathe, & walk just fine. I'm admitting that I'm stubborn, as I try/do things I shouldn't but pay for it by slipping/falling/migraine after sneaking or being hard-headed. I only worry about my daughters or my father seeing me do such. Otherwise, I'm not looking to see or care if anyone else saw me. I'm not taking up for her seeming to be faking. I'm just raising awareness that not all disabilities are visible.

I know this video looks bad, but don’t judge those of us with invisible diseases. Most of us who use mobility aids can walk, just not fast or long. These aids help preserve our energy so that our diseases don’t spike and we end up in a crash. Be kind.

This pisses me off! Those who are actually disabled need the assistance of a wheelchair stand around and wait for a handler to be available to assist them. You don't just walk into an airport, snap your fingers and have someone available, not helping someone else.

I’m just saying not everybody that needs a wheelchair is completely a paraplegic like they could’ve just had a surgery and they’re able to stand for short periods of time. I mean she looks like she would be sneaky about it, but I’m just saying that it could also be legit. I was trying to help a woman with a wheelchair the other day at work and she was like oh I could work it’s just I have something happened to my phone forever so I mean it doesn’t mean that they can’t walk at all.

Not one person would really know how sick I really am by looking at me... I have uncontrollable blood pressure both ways so it can be 50/32 and within one hour it can go 212/105. I have many rare connective tissue diseases that even most doctors have never heard of. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, IBS-D, Fecal Incontinence, Fibromyalgia, this is just a few so please think about it before you speak.

While this lady appears to be completely gaming the system, there are people (myself included) who do need assistance getting around an airport (especially a large airport). I'm a disabled veteran (USMC 1982-88. Both knees were injured). Between that and serious car accidents in 2000 and 2003 requiring 9 different surgeries and procedures, I'm unable to walk long distances or stand for long periods of time, so I use wheelchair assistance at airports. I'm used to getting dirty looks when I get up and walk. You don't need to be in a gurney to be disabled (although I have been bedbound on multiple occasions).
