The issue is the definition of the term "Manly". In general terms that implies a certain type and style of masculinity, on various levels prevalent in Heterosexual Males. Not exclusively, but more commonly, homosexual males tend to exhibit more effeminate characteristics. I don't understand the reason for it, but it seems to be the case. For that reason alone, yes, being homosexual logically results in being less masculine.
