I would much rather my tax money go and provide food stamps for a family that didn't need it versus the money of going overseas or to provide for some illegal immigrant

People seem to forget that some people are legitimately unable to work due to debilitating disabilities not everyone on government assistance is just lazy

so you think grandma should get a job, disabled should just get a job. Caregivers should get a job. Who is going to care for their dependent ones while their working.? What about we make sure billion $ corporations that get government credits for hiring people on SNAP be forced to give employees benefits and livable wage so they don't need or qualify for assistance. Walmart gets credits for hiring people on assistance, then don't pay them, the people get SNAP and spend it in Walmart. Triple dipping. I've seen people on here make comments about "just get a job," yet I remember when they received assistance. People needing help isn't the issue. It's corporations sucking up the wealth and using people. Turning us against each other so we won't notice.
