None of us owns anything when it comes to land. If we truly owned it then why are we forced to pay taxes on it? Ownership is just a concept to make us truly believe that we are free to do with it as we please. The reality is that we are only leasing it until we die and it is either passed on to a loved one or the state recovers it to be redistributed once again to anyone who decides to purchase the land. Every square foot of the ground we walk on in our country and any other at one time belonged to someone until it was conquered or sold off because of necessity or it was no longer considered to be viable by whomever had it. Even when we die and we are buried the ground into which we are placed doesn't belong to us. We are just returned from which we began.
We know so little American early history. It is not all good and for us to be proud of. But, we need to learn more, and try to unite with all of us living here in our Country. And find ways to live together in fairness and peace.
