This woman is horrid and her husband no better. She was free to speak her mind but she seems to conveniently forget that words and action have consequences. She represented the university and it was clear from her post that she did. U overstay doesn’t have to tolerate her nonsense. Hope her restaurant suffers the same fate given her hateful posting. Despicable.
I am assuming that whatever kind of contract/employment policy that you sign has a moral clause in it. What she posted was morally wrong, and if they would not have fired her, it would’ve made the whole state of Mississippi look like we still act like backwoods hicks and that we still have the KKK. My personal opinion is that the university did the right thing by fire on her. I also stand by all employers or government employees should have been fired for such hateful comment. If it would’ve been the other way around and it would’ve been, her husband killed, she wouldn’t have liked people saying ugly violent comments on a public platform.

Everyone who I know in the Oxford area have said that they refuse to ever be a patron in her restaurant after her comments! Lesson learned (hopefully) - that when you’re in the public eye- learn to keep your thoughts to yourself or don’t plan on the public with beliefs otherwise will support you!
