I had an uncle who worked on airplane gauges and we had to take a altimeter actually into the air and compare it with another one to ensure it's function properly from holding a thousand feet to actually touch down on the ground it had to read zero sometimes you just learn if you pay attention

I worked as a plumber out at DFW a whole new Under Commerce for a waistline and every morning about 6:30 in the morning this huge jet you could watch it touch down on the ground in like 6 to 10 ft it was making a turn up into the airport hanger where it was being worked on it was a test ride and this pilot would touch down and within 20 ft or 30 ft he was turning in the driveway this pilot was the cream of the crop they can tell you when them wheels are touching the ground all insensitivity with an altimeter
