Just a little advice. I wouldn't do this the way he did it's not safe. I had a battery explode in my face when I was in high school. I had just gotten out of football practice and my buddies car wouldn't start. So I was twisting on cables while he tried starting the car and it blew. They rushed me into the locker room showers and the acid ate my clothes off of me when the water hit me. I had to get rushed to the ER and have my eyes flushed for several hours. Not fun at all.

As long as hydrogen gas doesn't cause an explosion!

I just usually put the posts from my spare battery directly on the posts on the battery in my car/truck. I never go anywhere without my old spare battery. havent had to charge it in over a year and jumps my truck every time I need it. I tend to leave my lights on lmao

In the '60s I saw my daddy and my uncle jump off a car with a dead battery using only a metal clothes hanger by touching the cars METAL BUMPERS together as a ground and the clothes hanger for the positive side. I Googled it and it said that it can't be done but I'm 67 yrs.old and I saw it happen . I can remember it as plain as day.We were at my Mama's and Pa's place . I miss the good old days. Try doing this with plastic cars , and then I'll believe that it can't be done. 😳😁

Because everyone carries an extra battery and no jumper cables in their trunk. Not to mention wrenches.
