why he doing shitwork really?you need to redo it with a new plate on it ,completely sorry ass Excuse for that work ,I would not buy that house at all .
A regular C clamp on the vertical 2x4's would be easier and not damage the horizontal top plates.
so now what about the giant holes the "puller" just put in the top??
Ops my bad, I’m sorry I caught you off guard 🥰🥰
seems like a bunch of you haven't bought any 2x4's in bulk lately. have you seen how straight they are?? most of those boards bought in bulk are crooked as hell
That’s why you put a top plate on it. You don’t need to do that. #WastedStep
the damage to the top plates will weaken the integrity more and more over time! use clamps or ratchet straps intstead👍🏾💕
All I see is you Just weakening the strength of those 2x4 big time.
a trigger clamp would have done the same exact thing...
so dumb.
pretty nifty but ruined the integrity of the wood
Bro... Not only could you do your job with more care, precisely measuring and cutting properly... You could use a $19.⁹⁵ QuickGrip Clamp, or Some Finger clamps to close the Gap..
so we ain't gonna talk about the big split and hole you left behind 🤔
The new and approve wood stretcher lmaoff let's get a real carpenter
seems like if you cut right you wouldn't have to do that
this is why house come apart in a storm and then the Insurance company cleans your pockets out
Your probably pulling it out of plumb lol
Hey, whatever bro I think you're adorable.I thought it was clever.Ignore all these haters
so they do have wood stretchers? 😆 🤣 😂
for guys that can't frame.
this is a joke right
preety slick
if u do it right won't need to do that
Too much work, and damaging the structure, there’s a better way and faster
😂"C" clap and it fits better in a tool box much cheaper😳
total waste of time and money 1st of all, the studs should have been nailed together, and the top plate should have already been attached before raising the wall.
poor workmanship can't be cured by Micky Mouse. using warped boards to start with doesn't help and if the vertical board was nailed to the 1st board in the 1st place by a good builder this wouldn't have happened.
I've never seen one of these and I've worked on a lot of houses. Not framing, but I thought I was familiar with most of the tools onsight.
you know if you nail those end studs in about an eighth inch you can get the top plate to stay together then you just tap them together
Yeah, but now you’ve got two holes in your Support beams
I just use a C clamp if it’s even necessary.
nail header boards then c clamp it , wow no holes!
nice work!! Just a suggestion but have you tried a block on either side so you can get the ratchet up off your plate and to prevent damage to your top plate...I would use screws to attach the block so it would make easy removal.
If it didn't split the wood on both sides
I want one of those
Or you can send your boys to the corner & tell him to push the wall then nail it 🤔
That is the OG Board stretcher they Send Every New Guy After!!! Finally Someone Found it💯🔥
you could break the wall on a single stud still pull it together like that don't know why you wouldn't have shot it on the ground together since it doesn't already have plywood on it. gain Nails don't hold unless you have a thousand pound roller to smash them in look up the code book. you don't have to hammer it any of that put dents in your wood and then guess what you're supposed to put on top a top plate that laps that joint
damn right that's how you do it my boy show let him know what a master Carpenter is
squeeze clamp on the two studs would have been simpler and quicker.
wtf? I've seen similar tools used for stretching WIRE FENCES! 😆
if it was built rite u wouldnt need to do all that
Cheap ass builds
a 6" "C" clamp works a lot better. faster, and doesn't damage the boards
"idk why my whole house creaks when I walk through it"
nick Shirley out here doing side quests
Still looks crooked
A little putty, a little paint, will make a carpenter what he ain't😉😂🤣
As an certified inspector I’d make you replace those
c-clamp
C Clamp?
can't we make a clamp around the studs to pull them in rather than digging inch deep holes in
that pre fab crap looks weak. he needs an old school TEE in there for the joint
Screws are more efficient and faster 🤔🤔
It even had the Authentic 500-year-old Squeaking Noise the way they used to pull Shipboards together😆
Beam puller,bad ass
i love splitting my 2x4 and and diminishing the strength of the structure before putting weight on it to be safer i would never hire them
Don't you need a little room for expansion
😁
you must get paid by the hour....
