Cardiac contusion can stop your heart ( Damar Hamlin Buffalo ) if you are not resuscitated quickly enough you may die or have permanent injury. Ruptured spleen, severe intercranial hemorrhage, pulmonary contusion, liver laceration, perforated bowel, bilateral femur fractures can all be life ending injuries. How do I know? 12 years in Trauma ICU, that's how.

Football players typically get whiplash repeatedly, broken ribs, feet and sometimes backs/necks, they also suffer TBIs at an alarming rate. He is essentially using his body/life for our entertainment (whether we watch or not). Any one of those tackles can be a life changing injury and it is absolutely documented their brains take quite the beating. This is all in the name of Football! I get it. she wants her man to be safe and secure with her but as long as he is actively playing there is a possibility he "walks" away with serious life changing or ending injuries.
