Odie,he is Siberia Husky, Malamute and Labradoodle. This is his happy place and when there is snow on the ground he is not moving. 😆
I had a Samoyed husky and live in far northern WI. I will never forget the time the wind chill was -40 degrees. I was bundled up like the Michelin man when I took him for a walk. He went to the top of the highest snowbank (the one you couldn’t see the garage behind), stuck his nose up in the air, and just took a big, deep breath. His “Sammie smile” was even bigger when he finally came back down.
Same with my Bernese Mountain Dogs

Dogs can still develop hypothermia, even huskies.
If they were cold, they would be all over that door. My kids had a husky/German Shepard mix and she would sit out in the snow as the flakes fell . She would fake trying to throw up just so she could go outside. My daughter said Nikki believed that she was human and didn't appreciate being mistaken for an animal. My daughter you can tell when she fakes throwing up because she closes one eye. I caught her but remembered after I was trying to rush her outside. She has the nerve to walk a bit slower just for a bit of drama! Our dream would have been to clone her. I didn't believe that it would be the same dog. I saw Pet Cemetery!

I had a Siberian Husky. I built an insulated doghouse for him, and most of the time he would sleep curled up in a half whiskey barrel planter next to his house, or in a snow drift!

My husky and Rott never wanted to come in. It was the only time they didn't pant and pace around because they were so warm from being in the house. Dogs are super intelligent and will let you know when they want to come back in

Malamutes and Huskies are made for this weather. 3 layers of fur. Wild horses couldn’t drag them in. Mine would give me a stare and curl back up. Even with a lean to- they weren’t impressed.
