Could be a Cane Corso. Pits usually have long tails. This dog has a short (cropped) tail.
I have a Amstaff I trained him to obey my commands and I continue to teach him and he loves to learn. These types of dogs need discipline training and love. I understand people get scared when they face an aggressive breed dog that’s roaming the neighborhood freely and I think any dog that roams the streets is dangerous. Call the pound on them. No matter what kind of dog you face wait for them to come to you and smell you then pet them. My dog is on guard until I give him a command to relax and then he’s ready to meet you.

Because 95% of idiots that own these dogs don’t know how to train them properly putting everyone at risk, there’s all kinds of protection dogs that are controllable and not lethal.
A friend of mine has a cane corso that cost 5,000 to purchase, and 6,000 to train. That's when I changed my mind about getting one.

I would love to have one. Love larger dogs, always have. Had a Pit mix that was 130 pounds of solid muscle. He was the best protector my children and I ever had. He was both voice and signal trained. Sadly he passed at 14.
I was given a Pit back when pits were considered ‘bad’ and when I was asked to take him I first said hell No. But my friend knew that I was a good person and his dog would be treated good. Well my apache his name was the best dog I ever had. When I was sick he would come in my room and just sit there until I woke up. One day I was so sick with asthma and when I went to go to the bathroom I was about to pass out he jumped on my chest and brought me back I was able to crawl to the phone to call my sister who came over and took me to the hospital. That dog saved my life and when he passed I cried like I lost my child which I did. He is buried in my backyard and I have not been able to have a dog since because that was my baby.

My Grandson has a Cane Corso and I was intimidated by his size but he's a real sweetheart. The size of these dogs is totally amazing.
Just today ..I was out in the backyard watching my Pit & cat playing .. A young black male came around the back to delivery a package .. My dog just looked at him & the guy was frozen in place.. I told my dog to stay ..I told the young man .. don’t worry he is fine with you! My dog went over sniffed him.. & then started wagging his tail & the guy saw he was friendly & petted him! They made friends instantly! The young man was relieved! But I knew my dog would be ok!

This breed should be exterminated! There is absolutely no reason this breed should be allowed to be around humans! I am an animal lover, but this breed was designed and created to kill bears in Russia. There is absolutely nothing loving, caring, friendly about this dog. It can rip your throat out in one minute. It weighs close to 200 pounds.!

Excellent training! My next door neighbor has this breed and does not have this trained response. I cannot step in my back yard or take my garbage out if that dog is outside as there is only a 3.5’ chain link fence between our yards. I would love to become friends with him and maybe even take him on walks.
Yes that reminds me of my Rottweiler he was great. He walked without a leash all over never didn’t have to tell him to sit at the lights because he automatically did it. He didn’t listen and stuff and go. He had secret words that we spoke to him. He was amazing. His name was Kronos an amazing animal.
