In the high desert of Calif, we had beautiful quail. It was wonderful to see them with their young. I never saw but 6 or 7 trailing behind any mama. One day I was driving down a hill. I saw the bevy coming so I stopped. But mama didn't know I would stop. She got to just before the shoulder of the road and as fast as lightening spread her wings and 6 babies slammed into her. It was wonderful to behold. She stopped all 6 of them and they did not move forward. She waited until I moved on and as I moved on, I saw her in my rear view mirror. There they were, back in line, she led them across the street. Such a wonder! I love nature. It's awesome.
These are rare "Ravenous Raptor-Quail" babies. They have already devoured their mom in the time it took her to climb out of the box. They also ate every crumb of their eggshells (recycled calcium!) and the curious human's stick was four inches longer before he waved it around inside of that box.
What a fantastical way to describe a completely innocuous and harmless bird. 😊
This is fake. For one, birds do not have that many babies. Secondly, there is no way for the parents to get in and out of the box to feed them. Stupid fake crap!
