There are crystals gold diamonds and all sorts of minerals on the surface of the earth. a guy once found 2 pounds of solid gold near a river bed in a highly used area nobody saw it. He saw it because the sun was setting and he notice a glimmer he started digging it up it was solid gold. There was an old closed gold mine about 10 miles from where he found his. It was speculated that the mine may have flooded and washed the gold down stream and it just got stuck in the ground and was covered over time. Now it's a huge tourist attraction people looking for gold this happened in Pennsylvania.
