There is no safe level of asbestos exposure, and related diseases have a long latency period, with symptoms often not appearing for decades. Causes: Mesothelioma, Lung Cancer, Asbestosis - leading to breathing difficulties, & Pleural disease. It was used in attics I believe all the way up until the early 90s. Usually, it was installed as granules kind of like a silver fluffy-looking ball shape but also in sheets. Very dangerous. You do not want to irritate it or be around it. Professionals use full PPR & Breathing apparatus when removing. I know because I've done it before.

Man, I had a piece of fiberglass in my finger for over 2 decades that would only come out itty bits at a time. It would poke out/grow out a few times a year and it was super annoying! It’s finally gone! Thank God!
