Some of you people in here are really horrible. You can not tell me that you've never in your entire existence had a fear that others may have found to be totally irrational, but you in your heart just knew without a doubt, that you had genuine feelings and had a right to feel that way. Some of you should really take a lifelong class in empathy and compassion for a fellow human being. This woman has a legitimate reason for her fears, no matter what they may be, and she doesn't need to be berated or belittled because of it. She needed exactly what this kind Police Officer gave her that day. A little bit of extra love and compassion, some understanding. She's not crazy, stupid, or anything else you all are calling her. My goodness, whatever happened to love for our fellow man and kindness, wanting to help someone when you could, when there was nothing to gain?!

This is a real phobia it happens to my mother. The fear can literally make it hard to breathe and her legs will get stiff. Etc.

Totally understand how she feels, although I’ve gotten to the point of my fear I can go over Bridges but while I’m going across I’m sweating and it’s hard to breath. It’s not easy to control so if you don’t know don’t judge. Be Kind And Rewind!!

I have the same problems. It's a fear of heights and because you have that fear going over the bridge and into the water. It's a paralyzing feeling.

I was 62 when I went to grandson wedding n had to drive over a large bridge. my problem was seeing road going into sky then stopping. could not see any thing over sides. no where to pull over. been on bridges before over big rivers but non like this one

That would be me. I was on a bridge in the Bay Area and hyperventilated the entire drive.
There people who drivers can hire (or request if its a volunteer) to drivers their vehicles across bridges. its not ridiculous, she may not be dumb, she could be a very safe driver, and this could have been a fear that she has never experienced before.

huh as adult this is not okay .people say dont be rude but it's literally people like her inexperienced driver that kills people on the road . taxi , Uber, planes are what situation like this are made for. if your in doubt of your own skills dont risk your life and other . I teach my kids these skills everyday and for someone like this to but there life's at risk because she couldn't be bothered to learn these life lessons aka "skills" not conditioning from being scared is 100% on her .
