I trained a guy on the job that I was doing n I was fired n replaced by the same guy I trained. I will never do that again
I was a welder for over 20 years and you can not learn to tig weld in a day. Now that being said if you working on pressure vessels you have to be certified to weld on said vessels per. code.
why is the guy on the bottom of screen.even there ? what's the purpose adds nothing to your story. he adds nothing. repost video with just you that's all the video needs
walked off a job once because they wanted me to teach someone to TIG, I paid for school to learn how to weld and wasn't hired to be a teacher
Learn a trade. Pass that knowledge on ONLY when you meet someone you want to teach or pass the torch to, never get forced to teach a trade to someone else. That's not your job.
tig welding is one of the hardest welds to learn
don't know who this guy is but I'd like to buy him a cold beer
I'm a man of average intelligence, which makes me the smartest person on earth
my son laughed when i told him i worked at burger king when i was sixteen for 3.25 an hour they brought in a guy for 3.50 and wanted me to train him i quit .lol my son said over a quarter i said no principal 😂😂😂😂
White collar worker, has no idea. AI will have his job soon.
Love you😆 don’t teach no one your job skills 👍🏼
walked off a job once because they wanted me to teach someone the management position at whataburger restaurant in 1998, I paid for college school to learn how become a manager and wasn't hired to be a teacher
no effn way. 😂 the super must not be a welder. corporatization ruined the world.
WHAT COMPANY!!!? I don’t want products from there!! Tig isn’t trained in a day!!!
Your training your replacement
I taught a few guys basic welding , grinding , torch work, the basics ! that I paid a school for !I got 0 compensation for my bought and paid for skills! most of those employees went elsewhere make better money than me!! the ones that stayed are making the same as me! when I asked my boss for a raise he said no because he can hire folks in without any experience and in a year they will be as good as me ! wich I laughed at him and told him this 6g certified journeyman weld isn't teaching basics anymore they cannot force me to give my skills away for free to keep my wages down
never train anyone to do your job. theres a reason you got it and u better hold on to it. cause if your boss says to train them, its to replace you. the boss needs you to do it cause he sure as hell doesnt know how to do it.
It ain't that damned hard.
😂😂😂😂
I was training a new guy on how to put small plastic parts...in a box. I made the first box, showed him how to layer it, put paper between, and another layer, all the way to the top. then seal it and put the label on. sounds simple doesn't it? I had a couple others to train and machines to look over so I walked off after he said he understood. I came back later and this fool had stacked a whole pallet with the boxes but didn't tape the bottom of ANY of them! I asked him WHY didn't you tape the bottomes when you made the box?! he said...YOU DIDNT TELL ME TO. he watched every move. I asked him did someone have to follow him around to remind him to keep taking breaths🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. common sense hasn't been common for many years
brother I am not a welder I am a concrete finisher and I know and feel the frustration you have going on it's like how I'm going to teach him how the finish concrete in one shift it took me 20 plus years of getting it right and getting it wrong to get it right every time and you want me to teach him this in one shift I thought you hired experience workers besides me
ASME has rules.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s pretty easy for some others not so. It’s a lot you have to know about different types of metals and gases to use and yes if you are the best it took you doing A lot of work.
my analogy is bartending... I took several people under my wing and tried to help. the ones I truly taught, didn't know shit, but they had the right attitude.... making a drink is simple...being a bartender is different... being able to not know what someone wants, and still have them smile enjoy and tip when your done is the key... teaching that is hard... that's why the people I loved to help already had the personality...
I find it crazy that the bosses don't even know how to do what their employees do. they're a bunch of clowns.
All bosses are idiots, they want what they want. If they don't get it, it's your fault.
funny but unfortunately true in the individual work force
horrible ain't
couple questions here. first most important question, do you have a title that says you are a trainer and do you get paid to be a trainer. those are your first two most important questions. another important question, why would your boss hire somebody to do a job that is a skilled job that doesn't have the skills to do the job. I seen in one of your other comments somebody had said. he was training the new hire on how to do his job after training this person he got fired for that new person to take his job. I have seen this In more than one occasions, even at my own job. people asked to train somebody and then magically after they're well versed in the job, The person who trained them is now fired but the person who they trained has their trainers job. funny how all these companies do the same thing.
Welcome to reality my fellow torchbearer Most people can't operate one appendage let alone 3 Or even 2 if you're Scratch start We are the jewelers of the welding industry and diamonds aren't made overnight Your boss obviously has no business being a boss of welders
trust me, we completely understand....feel like we are super intelligent bc everyone else just dumbed down or something....quite terrifying.
The way of life! Some people learn fast. An some, people learn slower!! All people mines, are not the same. Don't let. Being slow. Slow you down. And don't give up, on yourself!!!💞🙏🏾🫵🏾👍🏾👏🏾💞 Remember! Your life, matter...
the lack of expression in the guy on the bottoms face as he smiles in unsettling.
Tell the boss he gonna have to train him now cause ur looking for work elsewhere.
so there are people who have plenty of book sense with no common sense. My Daddy used to say that the ones who will get you killed and this man just proved his point 💯 😂
The only reason why I’m glad I’m in the IT field and I’m a private contractor as I’m not training anybody and if you want me to train them, you will have to pay me for that extra and I can’t guarantee you that they’re gonna learn it in the speed that they need to learn it and you’re asking me to do a job that’s damn impossible and even if then I would never teach you everything I know I’ll just teach you enough for the job and the other stuff that I do at work that nobody pays attention to would eventually come out when they go hey we’re gonna fire you OK well I hope you guys know how to reroute the 200 switches that I put in recently. Hope you have somebody that knows fibrotic and knows how to use a OTDR or a fusion splice or knows the color code by hard knows how to do a fan kit if you know that and you can do all that means go ahead and do that but see most of the jobs that I get hired for knowing everything that I know and doing the things that I know it’s always
Tig welding takes a lot of practice. A child could mig weld my eight year-old grandson. Does it all the time arcwelding is a little more tougher. It takes practice, but TIG welding is almost an art.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 When they want you to train your replacement 😂😂😂😂
sounds like that boss needs to have a meeting with osha
time to lawyer up
Short story long
I don't train people to do things that they should know how to do before getting the job.
I learned after being showed once
wow
OMG, my has just begun😂😂😂😂
I used to be a welder. We had a hammer stamp we were required stamp our number onto each piece of work we did. We ran out of parts routinely and were sent to work different stations and received no training. Don’t forget your stamp! Never one time did I stamp something I wasn’t trained on.
