Really? If you're going to put water on to boil, just put some regular potatoes on. You're doing all the work anyway. Otherwise, use instant potatoes. This is dumb.

I couldn't stop vomiting from all that unnecessary butter... read the side of a bisquick box and make the dumplings you drop onto stew. just use this chicken mixture (without the butter🤮) as your stew. it won't be near as gloppy. canned, diced potatoes makes it more pot-pie
