Is everyone aware how physically dangerous child birth is? Mothers that have daughters go through a different process when their daughters become mothers. She survived and mom is beyond happy. She looks emotional and just needing to be with her own baby, first.
Always check your baby when she has a baby.

😭😭😭 I understand! I got completely overwhelmed after having my kids and my mom made sure to check on me.
I understand about wanting to see her daughter, but she could have been a little more enthusiastic about her grandchild. It looks like she is pushing that baby out of the way to get to her daughter. I have to say, if my Mom had acted that way towards my newborn, I would have been a little upset with her.
She came in smiling, looked at the baby and reached a hand out while looking at her daughter her face changed. Maybe she could tell her daughter was exhausted and wanted to comfort her.

I get it. Look she’s completely linked to her Grandchild and will be until she’s a memory BUT right NOW new Mom needed exactly what her Mother automatically knew to give her. My only child is 27 and when I FINALLY become a Honey, I promise to give him just a few minutes of Mommy first too. Cuz me and this grandchild of mine are going to WILD TF OUT!!!!!!

I would bet grandma was not cared for when she had children. Might have had PPD. So she’s anticipating her daughter’s needs based on her own experience.

I had prepared myself for being ignored as soon as my son came. My mother immediately came to my side, put her hand on my head, brought her head close and whispered “good job” I still get choked up thinking about those few seconds of acknowledgment and care after going through an emergency c section.

My mom was like this too! My first kid she was like right there and then I came home to my bed made and a gift bag at the end with clothes in it and chocolates and a card. 💕
