My daughter lost her cat and put up signs in our neighborhood. A neighbor called because while he didn't find her missing cat, he found a kitten in his chicken coop and had no idea what to do with it. My daughter took it home and gave it kitty formula and took care of it, but my dog who I had spayed as a pup and has never had a litter, took to the kitten immediately and even let her nurse for comfort. Obviously, there was no milk to be had. Then my daughter found another cat as she and her bf were driving one day. Cars stopped and some people had gotten out of their cars. A cat had run into the wheel well of a Saturn. Of course my daughter took it home and took care of her and gave her formula and all that. And once again, my dog stepped in and played Momma. Then, my daughter got a call from her friend that she had found 2 kittens under the trash in her mobile home park. Once again, my daughter took them in, and once again, my dog was thrilled to play Mom. .

Had a German Shepherd do the opposite with my brothers cats kittens and go on to actually nurse them too, when the cat fell ill. She didn't have puppies herself until she was really old and sadly passed away giving birth...She was the best dog mom tho🫶🏻Love is strange sometimes but awesome and powerful

we had a Husky that would steal the kittens from Mama cat although she couldn't nurse them she could definitely clean them up and let them snuggle down into her fur...so sweet 💕

The momma dog knew the baby was ok with the cat!! So happy to know they are friends and cat will continue to help as they grow up. That's great so they will be happy if they go to homes later that have cats that will be sharing their lives together. Our mini poodle is friendly to Ms Kitty sometimes and other times wants to chase her if she gets close their daddy!!
