It can also be very scary! There had been reports that a cat will try to suck milk from a newbornโs mouth. Not trying to harm the baby but in some cases itโs caused suffocation. I just say be aware.

Ppl use to think and say don't let cats near babies because it'll take their breath. No that's not true. A cat actually protects the baby from spirits.
This is very dangerous around a new baby! Cats can suck the breath out of the baby trying to get milk. They smell it and babies have been suffocated. Be careful!
Old wives tale used to say donโt let the cats near babies sucking on bottles. They drink their bottle and go to sleep and milk seeps out of their mouth and the cat licks the milk and can smother the baby. Not being aggressive. Just likes milk. I donโt know if this is true or not but just wanted to pass this on. But i do think this is a beautiful moment for the moma cat to bring her baby to lay next to this sweet human baby.

Gross. Probably just got out the cat box, or lickin its a**, eating a dead bird, or eating disguising liver patte, or maybe it just came in the cat door, grabbed its baby and brought it into the bed after a long night getting pounded by two different tom cats..think people, think.

I think a mother is hyper sensitive when new baby is in bed with her. I never got to do this with any of mine because my husband didn't want them to get attached to sleeping with me and he was right but there's something so sweet with baby next to you when sleeping.๐ฅฐ

I not fined of them I do not hate them but I had just given birth to one of my 6 Baby girls my sound girl I need a shower ๐ฟ that day so bad and I was home ๐ก alone that one day dad at work my mother and my sisters and one was out so I said ok Iโm going to put her in the middle of the bed ๐ with some pillows around her and I will keep looking ๐ and checking on her so I keep jumping out to look to make sure she was good and it was going to be Quick my boyfriend had got the girls a little car so ok I was feeling like she was crying so I kept getting out to look at her and one time I got out the shower ๐ฟ to look the Dam cat was sitting on top of my newborn chest she was coughing and trying to breathe the cat ๐โโฌ was really over her face her mouth ๐ Sucking in and out Coughing, trying to take her breath and he was doing it I ran out the bathroom to my baby I take ahold of the car Iโm just trying to understand what I just seen is it really God I started screaming and partying I got that cat
