Those drilled holes are too close together. The joint will not last.
yes, it's not rocket 🚀 science that how I built the Arc.
And inhaling the fumes from molten lead is the reason they didn’t live long.
Called a dog bone
if they didn't have lead, sometimes use like tar or pitch.
That is a rather modern way of joining wood. Old timers would join wood with wood.
The Greeks the Roman's, and maybe the Egyptian 's used i similar process. They used a piece of iron molded to fit in a joint like 2 pieces of a column
that's an old trick on countertops to connect right angle pieces.
the great grandfather taught me how to do this when I was a kid and yes the holes are too close together tightening the bolt to tight with a snap that joint
That is a weak joint. The side wall is too thin.
Who has molten lead sitting around their garage?
and wish i could carry lead melt in tool belt
no but I like it
Very cool & smart thx!!!👍🏼🥰
was this before or after bolts🤣🤣🤣
THAT IDEA HAS BEEN AROUND SINC ANCIENT TIMES NOTHING NEW👍😆
Yes my grandfather .
No
pretty nifty👍
or you could use a bisquit joiner and glue
I haven't
cleaver!
no
no very smart
that's not from the old days, that's some lazy ass don't know what there doing and got this hair brained idea from their idea order.😅😂😅😂
I think the video is just showing how it’s done.
Molten lead is totally safe to play with......🥺
Yes the same method was used with the megalithic stone blocks .
smart
🤦
Use gorilla glue. Wet the two surfaces apply the glue, clamp your project and wait four hours or more. and yor good to go.
old days are beautiful then now🤔
great idea.
🤔🤔🤔 that's cool as hell👍👍👍
If you don’t wanna heat up molten metal you can always fill with epoxy
No
Why not build A stronger house?
No it does NOT. Internet balogna!!!
I'm smart enough to cut my lumber to the desired size so I don't have to rely on gimmick carpentry.
I never but really interesting 🤔
the wood will go bad
the lead is completely unnecessary why don't you just use wood glue then you can reuse the bolts,,,,,,,🤠js
What's it for?
-😲- MOLTEN LEAD -😲- Poured from on high --💦---onto those below ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ onto those ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ seeking to breach Notre-Dame Cathedrals ramparts -- THEY WERE SEEKING ☆Esmeralda the beautiful dancer☆ She -had- sought the protective "sanctuary" of the church -- The BELL🔔RINGER Quasimodo ( who desperately loved the beauteous Esmeralda ) pelted the riotous mob with heavy stones and ... 'molten lead' { all to no avail } 💀 Death 💀 found the Dancer and the Hunchback .... and years later ... their skeletons we're found ... entwined ... in an eternal embrace
wooden pins/dowels or biscuit joinery last longer than the wood
superglue and root beer don't work
Will last for a lifetime, to do what?
Kinda cool how lead becomes safe all of a sudden
