This is not a racist problem, it is an HOA problem. Curtains that you made yourself hanging in your son's upstairs bedroom that faces your backyard? Sorry, against HOA rules to have any color other than curtains with a white backing hanging where they can be seen. Beautiful doe and fawn statuary that you had on your previous lawn for years? Sorry, not in our neighborhood. Car parked in front of your home? Nope, not here. And that nice rock you spent hours choosing for your desert landscaping? Go look again, that is not one of our allowed colors. All rules that I've had to deal with and I don't get to use the race card.

Seems like every HOA board has at least one of these nazis. I once had one report me for moving rocks in our common desert area so my kindergartner could get to the school bus. We had rock lined walking paths and she didn’t like that I made a little 2 foot branch off of it so the kids wouldn’t get stabbed by all the cactus she planted. Thought she controlled the whole area! By the way, I won!
