I rescued a Great Horned Owl that had probably struck a passing car, from the middle of a dark city street in our tiny rural town a few years ago. She spent a very comfortable night with me, then went to the local Raptor Center, and was re-released 3 days later, feeling MUCH more spry!

I've seen owls before they are beautiful. Have lived in the country for years never seen or heard an owl out here. Fast forward 2 years ago I was outside playing guitar and singing, trying to record a song. Played it back and you could hear the owl in the back ground.

Five years ago we had an albino owl occupying our redwood trees. it was beautiful. One night, I was standing about three feet under him and looked up to see him. He just sat and studied me. We saw him for two years. I miss him.

I adore owls. I keep buying owl ornaments to sit in my Christmas tree. The ones I buy are covered in feathers and look like real ones. disclaimer: no owl was hurt to make said or aments. I tell you birds lose feathers all the time. plus once a year they molt and there is an abundance of feathers.
