I love the song… I just can’t dismiss her hate for the US & all the basic principles it was founded on and has miraculously survived when not ONE COUNTRY on the planet believed it would survive & did everything in its power to destroy THE US… It is so painful when people are so ignorant to the lives put on the line so that their families and fellow citizens could live in freedom forever and those that came long after their demise as well. So when someone like her who can create a song that so touches so many hearts I am torn between my fury at her impossible ignorance and her gift that brings so many such peace in their lives with a song. I hate that we have allowed our schools to stop teaching the history that would remind us all how we live the most charmed lives so many others have sacrificed to provide. I have two sons who sacrifice every single day with their lives and again I am witness to such magnificent greatness even a song like this could never compete on any level.
