After these comments I don't think I will be able to read the book. I'm a single dad to two daughters and I can't take that kind of darkness into my mind or heart just for entertainment. This movie was hard to watch all three times.
My favorite book. I had a 14 year old at the time and it hurt me so bad I had to put it down and walk away for a week. The description of what happened in her words really bothered the Director who also had a daughter that age and he couldn’t put it in the movie. If you haven’t read the book you should . It will stay with you.
