Regan started this in the 80s he closed over 200 mental hospitals in New York state, Massachusetts, new Englad, just put out on the streets its been downhill ever since no one truly cares about the seriously mentality I'll. pandemic added massive amounts of people to homelessness. after you've lost everything, what different does it make if you take yourself out slow or fast? accumulation of all of it getting high for thesevpeople is all they've got heartbreaking

These were once children that were innocent hoping for a bright future. Somewhere along life's journey they fell through the cracks. Mental health is so misunderstood. I don't believe anyone chooses to be lost in their mind filled with fear, and loneliness isolated from society.

started about 25 years ago. Western State Hospital in Pierce County Washington let out a bunch of mental patients with a piece of paper saying go to behavioral mental health and get your meds. no place to live. that was the beginning of the mental homeless situation. and it has only escalated with no help from the city. we had Puget Sound hospital they turned it into a mental hospital and too many people died from the neglect from the employees. so they bulldozed it and never built a new one. the people who run our city have run it into the ground. all they care about is the tax revenue that they get from the new apartments that they're building that are overpriced. they keep saying affordable housing. and they continue to neglect the mentally ill as they should be housed first.🤔

My dad was a small town junior doctor in southern Nebraska in the early 1930s. The police would call him or his senior doctor to come to the police station and give the current addict a shot of heroin or ? Then the police would drop the addict off just past the city limits and send their trouble on to the next town. Not a real solution and the population multiplied…🥺

if they would would open a recovery hospital. where people could be put to sleep to detox n keep them their for a good 30 days once detox. so many people would go get the help.. they stay on the drugs due to the severe withdrawals
