Before we can move forward, there has to be acknowledgment — not dismissal — of the past. That’s where much of our frustration as Black people comes from. Too often, white people are quick to say, “I didn’t own slaves” or “You weren’t a slave,” as if that somehow erases the impact. But these are the same people whose ancestors we served, whose children we raised and nursed from our own breasts — children who were taught to hate the very women who cared for them. You can’t heal what you refuse to confront.

Ain't nothing changed about white people, they're just better at hiding their true selves these days, they even get on these sites hiding behind fake profile pictures saying how they really feel about black people as if we care 😂😂😂😂

Some of us white people were taught to treat ALL people the same. I'm happy for that, but history about how this country came to be, doesn't sit well with me. The more truth I find out the worse I feel about what had happened and I still see the need for more change. 👍🙏

I should cut out my picture of a plump black woman breastfeeding a white baby. Hang it in the Smithsonian, and watch Trump's people blow a casket! It's in a book!😲😲😲😆😆😆

It’s crazy how black people still had little to no animosity against white people. They trusted us with they children because they rather did other stuff than to take care of they kid …..

the more things change the more things stay the same they're still a large percentage of the Caucasian population that think of people of African descent in America as accessories, and help aids for their lives. Some are still completely confused and overestimate their importance, and reverence in our lives.

Most of you seem to be missing the point of this video. The caption at the top speaks to her relationship with black people. Her terminology and manner of speak is abhorrent today, but when you listen to what she is actually saying, she is best friends with this woman she is talking about. She is very racist of course, but she is a product of her time given she appears to be living in the Jim crow south. She does not hate black people by any means. She doesn't understand cultural differences. Its bred out of ignorance, not hatred. Ignorance leads to hatred of it goes on uneducated. Unfortunately a similar dynamic is beginning to form today, but it's not just white people this time...

I'm seeing a lot of people in the comments berating this older lady. But I don't think they're fully understanding the context here. the way she is talking during that time was not only normal, but was actually considered progressive. she's basically saying that she does not mind African Americans and in fact, is really good friends with one and appreciates all she did for her and her family. and she literally said that if her friend ever needed anything, she would do it for her. many of the words she's using are not socially acceptable today. However, during that time, it was normal. We cannot judge this clip using common social understanding that we know of today. you physically have to put yourself into that time period to be able to understand that what she is saying is truly beautiful and that she is truly a very sweet woman.❤️

These are the years I remember so vividly, and those that have followed until now and I can honestly say that absolutely nothing has changed except the perception that propaganda has etched in granite.... There is a have never been freedom for black people in America.

They made us nest their kids so they could be stronger and fight off the disease we had around us which we all had curious for and they just let us get them. They also brought in disease that our bodies weren’t used to at all and it killed a lot of people off and they’re still doing it to this day with our food.

750,000 to 850,000 people didn’t die just because they "didn’t like you." But I know exactly what’s happening: you’ve been fed the same liberal brainwashing I’ve dealt with growing up right here in Baltimore City. I lived in the South for 10 years and saw a different reality—families that actually stayed together and acted as one giant unit even after freedom was granted. While that’s not every case, it makes you wonder: if you aren’t some "Masta-serving" liberal, what more needs to be done? The men who actually died for that freedom get zero thanks or recognition today beyond a grave marker. Now, their descendants are branded "racist" by their liberal peers. It’s wild—suddenly you aren’t "black enough" if you don’t vote for the very party that had people in chains in the first place! Wake up!
